More model informationA model of the South Ravelin of Citadel Hill in Halifax, Scotia. A ravelin is a detached triangular fortification that is designed to split up attacking forces once they have penetrated the curtain walls (outer walls) of the perimeter trench.
The Halifax Citadel was upgraded in the mid 19th century to deter overland attacks by the United States. The walls modeled here are remnants of that Victorian-era construction.
