Secondary supporting character of Split Skies. Acting the role of a hint-giver and the narrative reason Laputa was put on her journey and was able to reach the descending island, the head researcher similarly leans into the same steampunk art direction and avian motifs.

Unlike Laputa, the Head Researcher sticks to using outdated and modified equipment in the form of his breathing apperatus that is fitted with partly broken reading glass.

Initially sculpted in Blender, he was later brought into and retopologized and rigged inside of Maya and textured in Substance 3D Painter before being put into Unreal.
