More model informationThis model is a ca. 9 million year old stegodont palate fossil. Stegodonts are ancient relatives of elephants. This fossil is from Piram Island, India. It was 3D scanned at the Natural History Museum in London with a Structure scanner attached to an iPad Mini 4. The scan itself is not of high resolution so in this case the scanner was used to create what amounts to a 3D photograph.
