More model information

Edit: Low-poly version of my first Harmoniepark model in order to reduce loading times.

Probably my favourite street art in all of Antwerp: in 2013 the derelict ball room / concert hall of the Harmoniepark was given a fresh coat of paint in a beautiful collaboration between artists Dzia and Gijs Vanhee (follow the links to see more of their work!). The project has helped revitalise the park, which even won a “park price” upon completion of the renovation works in 2015.

Model info:

  • 2400+ pictures processed in RealityCapture.
  • Geometry edited in ZBrush, Rhino and Memento.
  • Textures edited in Photoshop and Lightroom.
  • Down-scaled from 511M to ‘just’ 550k faces.

Going to try and integrate this into a small VR game for our new Oculus Rift headset! Think it’d be interesting to make the graffiti transparent so it looks like stained glass windows from the inside, what do you think?
