“Strike-A-Light. It is used with a flint to be struck together to create sparks for lighting a fire. (Peter Thomas, correspondence).” It is one of many artifacts found at Fort Hill that demonstrated the ingenuity of the Sokoki People. They utilized new resources as a result of european contact in novel and traditional ways while maintaining their cultural traditions and identity.
