More model informationCDX2 is a transcription factor that is responsible for regulating the transcription of multiple genes in the intestinal epithelium including differentiation and maintenance (The Uniprot Consortium, n.d.). Most transcription factors can bind to sequences that are closely related to a single site. CDX2 is an exception to this in that it can bind to two distinct sequences in the genome: GCAATAAA & GTCGTAAA (Morgunova et. al, 2018). This model will focus on one of the complexes that includes the A, D & K chains in this asymmetric molecule and highlight key features of the protein.
