The concave dial is supported between the bull’s horns. On the surface of the dial there are 11 converging lines, which divide the area in 12 sectors. These are the time lines and converge to where the stylus was. The piece was discovered in Cumpăna commune, in 1960. Dated from the 2nd century A.D. MATERIAL AND SIZE: Marble; height 0.49 m, width 0.38 m. LOCATION: Histria fortress Museum in Istria, Romania
