Taweret Amulet

A small faience amulet of the Egyptian goddess Taweret likely dating to the Late Period. She takes the form of a hippopotamus with a crocodile’s tail, lion’s paws, and human breasts. Taweret was particularly associated with the protection of women during pregnancy and childbirth.
