More model informationThis piece of textiles machinery came into the museum’s collection as part of a collection from Lilleys, a narrow fabric manufacturer.
Lilleys produced a variety of narrow fabric products, such as cotton tape, from their base in Derbyshire during the 20th century and would have used equipment such as this in their manufacturing process. Its specific function is currently a bit of a mystery to the collections team at the Silk Mill and by creating and sharing a 3D model of it we hope to be able to identify its use.
