The Basin

Known simply as The Basin, this massive structure sits as the center of a self sustaining community, amidst one of Earth’s former deserts. Composed primariliy of locally sourced materials, The Basin and its surrounding habitats were built using an additive process, and take advantage of pre-existing gelological features.

Using geo-thermal, solar energy and the natural filtering and osmotic properties of sandstone, The Basin is capable of not only generating bountiful power, but of effectively harvesting, filtering and recycling of water for use by the surrounding community.

Environmentally harmonious, self sustainable, and scalable, The Basin community promses to be a peaceful and heathy home for many generations to come.

Scupted using Masterpiece VR. Procedurally retopologized in Zbrush to bring down triangle count, then UV’ed in Maya. Lastly, Substance Painter was used for bake and textures.
