NMI Carolan harp (National Museum of Ireland)3D Model
17th-18th century Irish harp said to have belonged to Turlough Carolan (1670-1738)
National Museum of Ireland NMI DF:1945-122
Laser-scanned by Elaina Sugrue (AccuScan3d) video of scanning process at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgWVTD6qa_s
The interior surface of the soundbox was also scanned, but some surfaces were not visible to the scanner outside the harp, and so the rendering algorithms have filled in these gaps with bulbous surfaces. The model supplied was 700MB, this is a shrunken low-res version for upload to Sketchfab. Any questions please let me know.
Since it is just a digital reproduction of a public-domain publicly owned artefact, the scan data should also be public domain. But I couldn’t work out how to mark the model as cc0 / Public Domain so it has to be marked as cc-by (attribution). You don’t need to attribute it to me - please give attribution and credit to the National Museum of Ireland, who own the original object and gave permission for the laser-scan to be made.
