More model informationThe northern boundary wall at the Ness of Brodgar, also known as “Structure 6” or, more commonly, “The Great Wall of Brodgar” is a huge structure spanning the full width of the Brodgar isthmus. Over 70 metres long and 4 metres wide, it would have taken an enormous effort to build. This model showcases a newly-excavated section of the wall, with both inner and outer face exposed. Also visible is the wall core supporting the faces, made up of suitably massive boulders.
