Imaged in late summer of 2023. I struggled with this model for a bit. I had only one dive to do a massive wreck and used a 3 camera set up. I missed a small section near the stern which is a bit interesting. To me it is better share a good model versus a perfect model. 3,262 images, GoPro 11 jpeg, Metashape.
The Lartington was a 245-foot steel tramp steamer built in 1875 in Sunderland, England. On December 8, 1879, she departed Savannah, Georgia, bound for Russia with a cargo of 4,000 bales of cotton. Four days later, during a stormy voyage, a massive wave—reportedly over 100 feet high—cracked her hull, causing a severe leak. Captain George Dixon attempted to reach Bermuda for safety, but the ship ran aground on a reef five miles northwest of the Royal Naval Dockyard on December 14, 1879. The crew was rescued, and most of the cargo salvaged.
