The Lion Panel is located in the lowest level of Chauvet Cave. Theses paleolithic paintings are among the best preserved and most spectacular of the ancient world. Dates for the Chauvet paintings hover around 36,000 years BP. The images for this model were originally shot for my National Geographic Magazine article on the first artists (here) The model was originaly published on my personal account (@alvarezphoto). The images were not shot for photogrametry but for a panoramic image that ran in the magazine. The images were processed in Agisoft Photoscan.
