Limestone stela of the scribe of the Accounts of the Cattle of Amin, Seti, sculptured in the form of an elongated obelisk. (Dynasty 19/20)
Tomb of Iti Khentkaus (Pyramid Complex of Ibi, Saqqara South) H. 157 cm W. 35 cm Depth 13 cm Excavated by G. Jéquier for EAS (Egyptian Antiquities Service) in 1929
The frontal face of the stela is smooth and carved in a delicate low relief with sunk outlines. Traces of the original paint are visible on the lower-half of the stela. The lowermost section of the stele is an unused, albeit smooth, surface. The lateral and dorsal faces of the stela are irregular and show marks of production. The object is broken into four pieces, which damaged a section of text. Otherwise, the object is beautifully preserved.
