Ce fossile mystére est un calice (l’armure autour du corps) d’un crinoïde particulier du Carbonifère inférieur des USA: Dorycrinus mississippiensis. Ce crinoïde possédait de grandes épines protégeant son corps; la tige n’a pas été préservée.

The mystery fossil is a calix (the armour around of the body) of a strange crinoid from the Early Carboniferous of USA: Dorycrinus mississippiensis. This crinoid possessed large spines to protect his body; the stem is not preserved on this specimen.
