The Train to Heaven in Wroclaw3D Model
The Train to Heaven in Wroclaw, Poland, is a striking monument that features a vintage TY2-1035 steam locomotive standing upright and pointing to the sky. The 30-meter-long, 80-ton locomotive was acquired from a museum and erected in 2010 by artist Andrzej Jarodzki to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Wroclaw developer Archicom. The sculpture quickly became one of Wroclaw’s most famous tourist attractions and is considered the largest urban sculpture in Poland.
Andrzej Jarodzki was inspired to create the Train to Heaven after playing with his son’s toy locomotive and placing the toy upright. However, the idea was not realized until he was approached by Archicom.
