For our client from Israel, we created and animated a Low-poly 3D model for an AR application that allowed people to take a photo next to the legendary soinoist and listen to stories from his life.
The app was presented on the day of Theodor’s national memorial on Mount Herzl. Visitors could scan a QR code, select a topic, and place a character next to them using a camera. The animated Theodore told people about his life and the struggle for land for his nation.
We had to work within the strict limitations of the AR app. You can’t make a character realistic when you have only 25k polygons. But you can make it attractive and alive with the help of details. So we decided to add not only geometry details, but also a few noticeable movements in the animation.
After creating the character and animation,we started the stage of testing it on different devices to make sure that everything would load properly.
