Lieutenant Thomas Rogers headstone who died from the splitting of a cannon at the battle of Valcour Island in the revolutionary war October 11th, 1776. Along side is his daughters and nephew. The cannon that ended his service was located in July of 1999 by NYSP diver and researcher Edwin Scollon and is currently on display at the Lake Champlain Maritime Museum in Basin Harbor Vermont. https://allthingsliberty.com/2014/04/valcour-island-redux/
