More model information這件大理石雕,出土於1001號商王大墓,由五官特徵看,應為虎首。以立雕技法雕出輪廓及耳、鼻、口、齒等,再以凸線勾勒眼部。它的背後有一道寬凹槽,從凹槽及上方的空缺來看,本器可能是與T字形斷面的木結構相接的裝飾物。
Tiger head, marble. Chinese Bronze Age. Shang dynasty.(1400-1100B.C.) The tiger head marble sculpture is found from Royal Tomb No. 1001. Judging from the facial features, this animal may be representations of tiger. There is a T-shape groove runs along its back, possibly for attaching it as an architectural ornament.
