A bucket from the Tanjung Tualang No. 5 Tin Dredge. The Bucket is one of the 115 buckets that was used by the dredge during its operational years (1938 - 1982), excavating alluvial tin deposits in the kinta valley in the Malaysian state of Perak. The bucket sits outside the visitor center at the Tanjung Tualang Dredge No. 5 museum, which serves as the resting place for one of the last surviving tin dredges in Malaysia.
The other surviving dredge is situated in the state of Selangor: ttps://www.freemalaysiatoday.com/category/leisure/2019/03/23/anyone-interested-in-buying-selangors-tin-dredge/ (unless it has since been dismantled for scrap metal)
