The construction period dates back to the very early 1900s, certainly before 1905. The tower was built by the counts Rossi of Montelera in neo-Gothic style due to the meaning that the architectural element “tower” had within the residential buildings, i.e. symbolic affirmation of power, and because it was inserted in the cultural climate of revisiting the typical medieval era of the nineteenth century. The wall structure of the tower is made mainly of stone bound by abundant lime cement.
