Tortoise belongs to semi aquatic, semi terrestrial reptiles. It mainly inhabits rivers, lakes, reservoirs, ponds and other waters. In the daytime, they are mostly trapped in the water. When the summer is hot, they are looking for shade in groups. Mild temperament, no bite between each other. When you encounter enemy or be frightened, you can shrink your head, limbs and tail into your shell. Tortoise is a kind of omnivorous animal, which feeds on animal insects, worms, small fish, shrimp, snail, mussel, plant tender leaves, duckweed, melon skin, wheat grain, rice, weeds seeds, and has strong hunger resistance, and can not eat or die for months. It is mainly distributed in Japan, North Korea, Korea, East Timor, Indonesia (smaller island of Sanda), Palau and China.
