More model informationThis little toy dog dates to c. 1950s-1960s. It is made of vinyl, short for polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Although first discovered in the 1920s, vinyl fabric was not widely used commercially until the 1950s. Compared to other man-made fabrics, it is considered environmentally friendly because it lasts a long time. It is resistant to light and extreme temperatures, delaying the deterioration of the fabric. The well preserved red and white toy dog is a testament to its longevity. And we thought the red and white was perfect for Canada Day.
