The newly-opened Trench Z at the Ness of Brodgar, where students from the UHI Archaeology Institute have been learning excavation and recording skills.

This trench is revisiting and expanding upon findings in Trench I in 2005, where the wall of a suspected Early Neolithic building was exposed under the turf but not further investigated.
