The USB allows the portable scanner to connect wirelessly to your computer. And the scanner is small, light and portable, with a small screen with a slot for the paper square to fit. Once you copied each letter, symbol, and number on the designated square (depending on the number or letter that is on the corner of the paper), you place them one by one on the scanner, in the order instructed, and press scan. And after, all letters have been digitized, different options will come up on the app, e.g. spacing, slant, size, etc., in order to make the font look the most like your natural handwriting.
