Description: This is a 3D laser surface scan of fragments of two teeth in jaw with matrix. It is between 126,000 and 11,700 years old. This specimen has been scanned as part of the Museum’s Darwin Fossil Mammals digitisation project. Find out more at www.nhm.ac.uk/darwinsfossils.
Comments: This has been associated with the other Darwin specimens in the collection since at least 1884 and is probably part of Darwin’s collection. The preservation is very similar to other specimens from Punta Alta, particularly the lower jaw of Toxodon.
Specimen number: NHMUK PV M 102043
