Unmarked Institutionalware Dish from Kooskia Internment Camp (10-2-750, MNV 156)
Located in northern Idaho, the Kooskia Internment Camp was a World War II Department of Justice internment camp (see https://encyclopedia.densho.org/Sites_of_incarceration#Department_of_Justice_Internment_Camp ) that incarcerated over 260 Japanese men, many of whom were long-time residents of the United States but were deemed “enemy aliens” by the U.S. government from 1943 to 1945.
