The location of this tomb is sometimes called Upper Tymnessus or Tymnessos, or in Lycian Tuminehi, Tumine, Tumini, or Tumina. Bellow the remains of the upper city are numerous large bolders that fell from the cliff above. Several have carvings on them but this one, next to the road, is probably one of the most fascinating tombs in all of Lycia (based on the ones I’ve seen). Though heavily damaged the reliefes are striking. Spend particular attention to the frieze above the entrance. It almost looks Egyptian. The content of course is up to interpretation but if read from left to right it apears to either depict the preperation of the dead body resulting in a resurrection on the right, or perhapse a surgical procedure resulting in recovery. 2000,000 polygons and 8K textures.
