Data are current as of the morning of November 14, 2020- votes are still being counted and reported (for instance, the estimate vote count in New York is 81% as of yesterday evening). When vote counts are finished, I will “redraw” the map and post a link here. Color is 25 linear steps of red->blue (with no green). Height is proportional to the number of votes cast. Data for DC and all states but AK are from the Associated Press as reported by USA Today. AK results are from the Alaska Division of Elections. Alaska does not report election results by county equivalents (a combination bureaus and census areas) and reports early and absentee votes (~20% of total in the 2016 election) at the district level, the boundaries of which do not align spatially with county equivalents. So, the map of Alaska shows districts with some of the geographically smaller districts merged (Anchorage metro, for instance).
