More model informationThis flange is part of the boiler assembly of the USS Westfield, a union steamer that was scuttled on Janurary 1st, 1863 to prevent the ship from falling into confederate lands.
This and the rest of the assemblage was conserved at the Conservation Research Laboratory at Texas A&M University, and then the boiler was reassembled at the Texas City Museum by Justin Parkoff.
