Leidyosuchus sternbergi was a species of crocodilian from the Cretaceous of North America. During the Cretaceous, North America was separated into two halves by the Western Interior Seaway, where crocodilians and other semi-aquatic and aquatic animals lived. Leidyosuchus sternbergi likely had a skull length longer than 40 cm (16 in) and lived along the Western Interior Seaway’s coastline along modern-day Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, North Dakota, and South Dakota. This specimen shows a tooth.
