Taxonomy: Mammalia>Perissodactyla>Helaletidae>Hyrachyus sp.
Hyrachyus was a genus of odd-toed ungulates from the Eocene of North America, Europe, and Asia. They have been suggested as being close to tapirs alongside Lophiodon, another odd-toed ungulate. Hyrachus was 1.5 meters long, about the size of a large dog, and had three toes that touched the ground. This specimen is one of two post-cranial elements.
