This model is a high-fidelity 3D capture of a V-1 flying bomb displayed within a museum environment. The scan captures both the artefact and its surrounding exhibition space, preserving spatial context, scale, and placement as part of the historical display.
Data acquisition was carried out using a FARO X330 terrestrial laser scanner, with subsequent processing, alignment, and mesh optimisation completed in Geomagic Wrap. The model has been decimated for online visualisation while retaining key geometric and surface detail relevant to reference, documentation, and visual study.
This model is intended as a digital record rather than a cleaned or idealised asset. As such, it includes environmental artefacts, exhibition elements, and occlusions consistent with real-world scanning conditions.
This scan demonstrates large-scale object capture within a constrained interior environment, balancing accuracy, context, and performance for real-time viewing.
