Vincent's 'Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers'

Part of the second set of Van Gogh’s series of sunflower still lifes, Vase with Fifteen Sunflowers was painted in 1888 in Arles, Provence. This, and the others within its series, were painted during a time of excitement for Vincent, when he was working to create an artist community with his friend and fellow artist Paul Gauguin. The painting resides in the Van Gogh museum in Amsterdam.
