More model informationThe Monjon or Warabi (Petrogale burbidgei) is the smallest species of Rock-Wallaby and is found exclusively in the high rainfall areas of the Kimberly region. Commonly they occur in the open woodlands and eucalypt forests of the Wunaamin Miliwundi Ranges as well as on some islands of the Bonaparte Archipelago. Currently they are listed as Near Threatened due to the small expanse of their range. It is likely that with changes in fire regimes and climate change, increased aridity will threaten the future of this rainfall loving species.
