Software use: Maya Autodesk Porpose: Game Prop
To create the details of the Waterwheel, I used a range of other tools within Maya Autodesk, including, for example, sculpting tools. This allowed me to add intricate details such as the paddles and the spokes of the wheel, which helps to create a realistic and immersive environment for videogames.
In addition to modeling the waterwheel, I also had to consider how it would be used within the game. This involved optimizing the model to ensure it was lightweight and could be rendered in real-time, without impacting the game’s performance. I also had to ensure that the waterwheel was appropriately scaled and positioned to be imported into the game environment, to ensure that it fit seamlessly with the other game assets.
