Westcliffe House N02 (April 2006)3D Model
Outcrop in a private grounds to the west of Rothbury, Northumberland.
The NADRAP team found this carving during their 2006 survey, referencing it ‘Westcliffe House N02’ and adding it to ERA in 2008. The team describe:
“A sloping sandstone outcrop, part of the larger outcrop which extend 50m and includes Westcliffe House a, displays a single well made cup. Extensive quarrying / reshaping of the outcrop has occurred, possibly during construction of the house. Very deep cup for this area (0.04 m) and with a diameter of 0.07 m. No other decoration elsewhere on this panel.”

The model was created from 5 stereo pairs captured by Joe Gibson & Keith Elliot of NADRAP Team 3 in April 2006. The imagery forms part of the full NADRAP archive deposited with Historic England & Northumberland County Council.
