Boulder on private land near Whitton Burn, south of Rothbury, Northumberland.
This stone is referenced on the Beckensall Archive (BA) as ‘Whitton Burn 2c’ and sits several metres southwest of the more elaborate ‘Whitton Burn 2a’. The archive includes a drawing displaying 4 cups. NADRAP subsequently added the record to ERA in 2008, but struggled to identify the cups previously drawn by Stan Beckensall.
On this model you can make out extremely shallow depressions in the areas drawn by Stan.
