More model informationWild Boar Tusk Trinket (Excavated from Irie Shell Mound: Late Jomon Period, approx. 4,000 years ago)
This accessory was made from the tusks of a wild boar, which does not live in Hokkaido. The boar is thought to have been brought in from Honshu. It resembles the shape of a human tooth, and when it was excavated, it was covered with bengara (red pigment).... This is the only place where such a shape has been found. http://www.town.toyako.hokkaido.jp/syakaikyouiku/page37/page7/index.html
