More model informationA complete copper alloy purse bar of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (AD 1450 to AD 1550).
The arms of the bar are sub-rectangular in cross-section, projecting from a rectangular central block. A vertical hole through the block runs at right angles to the bar. The block has a notch in the underside to accommodate the rove from the missing loop. At the end of each arm is a large fungiform knop.
