This is my take on the BA-64 which was a light Soviet armored reconnaissance car used during WWII. For this project, I set out to recreate the vehicle with semi-historical accuracy while also exploring an alternate-history scenario. In this version, Estonia breaks away from the USSR and fields captured BA-64s repainted with a national slogan, “Eesti eest!” (“For Estonia!”). From a workflow perspective, the project served as a portfolio exercise in hard-surface modeling, texturing, and rendering for games.
The BA-64 was modeled in Blender, detailed in ZBrush, textured in Substance Painter, and rendered in Cycles. The final asset is game-ready, with baked maps and optimized geometry suitable for real-time engines. This project represents a blend of historical authenticity, creative lore, and technical execution, combining accurate vehicle design with an imaginative “what-if” twist.
