More model informationThis wreck was dredged up from Østerby Harbor on the island of Læsø in March 1980. The wreck was investigated by archaeologists and found to be a bark from 1700-1850. The timbers were transported to the Fiskeri- og Søfartsmuseum in Esbjerg, where they have been re-assembled and are part of an open air exhibit. This model is part of my Masters thesis at the Maritime Archaeology Programme at the University of Southern Denmark (June 2016).
