This carved whale bone vertebra facial sculpture was created by a member of the Yup’ik in Alaska. It is trimmed with wolf fur, has baleen elements on the human face, and has shells for its eyes. Thecarving was 3-D scanned with a Go!Scan 50 which had issues capturing the fur and baleen. Courtesy of Jane Kelly.
