The Kyrykungir cemetery is located on the left bank of the river Shagan, 350 km west from the Kyrykungir mountain and 2 km north from Toktamis-Batyr village of Abayskij district of West-Kazakhstan region. Arhaeological complex Kyrykungir covers an area of about 3 km2 and includes near 100 objects (kurgans of the Early Iron Age, settlements of the Bronze and Iron Age, kurgans of Turkic times, two muslim cemeteries).
