Sketchfab now has beta support for Blender 2.80

Back to overview

The highly anticipated Blender 2.80 was released earlier today. This version delivers huge improvements of the user interface, 3D editor, rendering engine and many, many more areas – see the full release overview here.

We now support direct upload of Blender 2.80 files. Please note that this support is still in beta and has a number of known limitations.

Known issues/restrictions

  • We currently support the Principled BSDF Shader node, and its attached textures, if there is not a mix of random nodes between them and the PBR input
  • Complex animations may break: we don’t yet bake all types of animations, like constrained objects, etc. You may have to do this by hand and even then your results may vary.
  • Models with very large images (4K – 8K) are crashing when being processed.
  • Our Blender exporter plugin has not been updated for 2.80 yet.

Please keep in mind that our 2.80 support is still in beta, and it can break. If you have any issues, please leave a report on our forum and, if possible, include a .blend file that reproduces it.
