The Parkin Archeological State Park Artifact Library was created through a joint project betwen Jonesboro High School EAST Program and Parkin during the 2015-2016 school year. The team of students used a process called photogrammetry to create the models, which involves taking pictures from many different angles and using software (in this case Autodesk Memento) to create a 3D point cloud from the photos.

Parkin Archeological State Park opened in 1994 as a joint mission between Arkansas State Park and the Arkansas Archeological Survey. The prehistoric Missississippian Indian Village remains include the site area and surrounding moat, as well as a 30-foot tall mound built over 500 years ago.
