This is a 3D capture of Sancreed 2, a medieval cross in the churchyard of Sancreed Church, Cornwall. The original surface colours have been removed and the underlying geometry of the model has been digitally enhanced to better display the decorations and inscription.

It is hoped that by seeing monuments in this way that people may view monuments such as this in a different light. There are beautiful, complex pieces, full of meaning. Nature has softened them through erosion, lichen and moss growth. This non-contact method can enhance what surface detail is left, allowing us to appreciate them and their complexity.
