More model informationEach surface is colored by temperature. The largest, low density surface is has 1 particle per cubic centimeter (10^-24 g/cc), the middle surface has 0.1 particles per cubic centimeter, and the smallest surface has 0.01 particles per cubic centimeter. As we probe higher and higher densities, we are at structures more closely surrounding the individual stars, while at the lowest densities we see the more diffuse, hot shocked gas of interacting stellar winds.
