Kerbstone 17 is located on the outer edge of the largest megalithic tomb at Knowth, County Meath, Ireland (ME019-030001-). This decorated kerbstone was carved over 3 stages. In the first stage short, straight lines were incised in the middle of the stone, along with dispersed pickmarks and a serpentiform motif. Following this, an anti-clockwise spiral was made on the right side of the main face. Finally, a long wave (serpentiform) line was picked across the whole of the stone. A shorter serpentiform and small arcs were picked above this. The upper part of the stone has been damaged, and the carvings there lost.
